Hey guys i'm currently having an event where i used tried updating with Kies and at present im stuck in a odin screen displaying "Firmware Upgrade encountered an issue. Please utilize Software Repair Banana & try once again." Odin doesn't piece of work in this example at all. I tried looking for the software online and plant a link to a fellow xda member just the windows version doesn't piece of work. I know to get the software you just plug in the phone and usually the verizon installer shows outset before you have the option to go MTP. The reason this happened is because I had my telephone rooted then stupidly installed the factory update then tried to root again once I found out that after the install my phone wasn't rooted anymore. Do you know a manner around this? Thank you again for the aid saving my phone!

the new build number on my phone is now N9000VVRUBMJ7 I looked at the link you gave me and it's not on there. Thanks anyways. I love to hear any ideas that anyone has. I'k thinking that I'm either going to have to use the Kingo method or just wait for someone to come upward with a root method for the new MJ7 build number but I'chiliad afraid that might take a while since I don't even call back that someone has even come with 1 for the S4 updated software nonetheless.

Pitiful for the delay. Information technology'south the recovery for not rooted. You have to create the root file with URDLV I cant seem to get the fi le to create without
Errors. I'll play around a little more and go back to y'all. I call up I have figured out what I was doing wrong. You cannot put your m5 file in the same folder as the URDLV.bat

OK, finally: the mad skillz. You lot need to apply the Android SDK "simg2img" tool (search for simg2img here on XDA) to unpack the sparse ext4 image file (cache.img.ext4) in the Odin tarball.

Merely thankful that I didn't need to walk into a Verizon store or use my warranty to swap this phone out when it's in immaculate condition. cheers to the devs for their hard piece of work!
